On the President-elect's Victory Speech

November 10, 2016

This is a day of lamentation and woe. This day, we who worship Jesus Christ, the living God and Savior, lament and wail over our land. We lament that half of our nation endorsed this New Jezebel, who sheds not only the blood of righteous Naboth, but also the blood of millions of tiny children in their own mother’s wombs (Isaiah 1:15). We lament that many of our fellow citizens endorse the curse of women rulers over the land (Isaiah 3:12), and that the grotesque orientations of the people of ancient Gomorrah are now deceitfully and craftily portrayed by their descendants as the marks of a victimized, freedom-fighting people (Romans 1:26-27, 32).

At the same time, we lament that the other half of our nation, including some public endorsements from professing Christians, cheered over this boastful trump card in the poker-playing hand of the Devil—this living, breathing, talkative card, whose eyes are full of shameful lusts, whose corrupt business practices trample upon the heads of the poor, and whose mouth is all Pharisee and no publican (Luke 18:9-14). We lament that he, who knows not God, failed to glorify God’s only-begotten Son in his victory speech (Acts 12:21-23), and, ever so tellingly, also brazenly omitted even a single reference to the Abortion Holocaust and the need for the full, total abolition of abortion, despite time being of the very essence, even as the bloodshed of the weakest of the weak continues this same week in our land, to the guilt and shame of our nation (Proverbs 31:8-9).

We weep because His holy name is dishonored ever so scornfully by the tyrannically imposed secularism of our public government, schools, and institutions. We tear our clothes, since a nation that fears not God is a nation that is under the divine judgment. We grieve over the guilty silence of, and doctrinal idolatries present within the very church of God. Streams of water run down from our eyes, because our leaders do not keep Your Law, O God!

May the LORD, in wrath, remember mercy.

“To the Law and to the Testimony! If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them.” (Isaiah 8:20)

Soli Deo Gloria. Glory to God, alone.
